SUBWAY’s history in Iceland
Back in 1994 the first SUBWAY restaurant in Iceland was opened. So for almost 24 years SUBWAY has catered for people in Iceland who want to combine healthy, tasty and quick meals. The entrepreneur behind SUBWAY in Iceland was Skúli Gunnar Sigfússon, who opened the first store in Faxafen, Reykjavik.
Now there are 22 SUBWAY restaurants operating in Iceland. Outside the capital region there are seven SUBWAY restaurants around the whole country.
We are proud to be part of this international chain that has over 45,000 restaurants in over 100 countries.
